alternate_u roleplaying game
Canon Barry ("the Chopper") is a crossdressing serial killer from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. He first appears in episode eight, "The Philosopher's Stone". In that episode, he kidnaps Winry, a close friend of the main characters, with the intent to murder her. However, the star of the show, Ed, manages to track him down to his hideout in a refrigerated warehouse and assist in his arrest.
Barry next appears in episode 20, "Soul of the Guardian", where we discover that, instead of being executed, he was soul-bound to an empty suit of armor and set to guarding a top secret military labratory under the code name "Number 66". During that episode and the one immediately after, he shows skill not only in fighting, but also in psychological manipulation.
After escaping the lab, Barry joins a group of bounty hunters and is eventually killed by the fugitive Scar.
Alternate University "Carrie" is the transgendered child of a middle class, white American family. She has encountered a lot of hardship because of this, and is in fact currently estranged from her parents and three sisters. She got into AU on a collection of scholarships and loans, and is also currently working for a Campustown insurance agency.
Carrie's father is the proprietor of a small, family-owned butcher shop. Years of being "volunteered" into working there has given Carrie a strong stomach and an aptitude for handling knives and other sharp objects.
Physical Barry is about 5' 10'', thin, and blonde, with roughly shoulder-length hair. He always wears full-length skirts, except when he's at work. If it weren't for his height, he would be the kind of person who has a tendency to disappear into the back of the room; as it is, he has a tendency to slouch.
Notes For the purposes of the game, I'm assuming that Barry did not actually become a serial killer until his mid- to late-twenties. Because modern America is slightly more accepting of transgendered persons than early twentieth century Germany, off which FMA is based, I doubt there is any serious danger of him suddenly snapping in the game. However, Carrie is very passive aggressive, and tends to be timid around tall, muscular men.
Further Notes Barry's username comes from the Phil Keaggy song, "Sunday's Child." This isn't meant to imply that Barry listens to Phil Keaggy; he probably just heard the song somewhere and thought it was pretty.
